EVERYTHING FROM TECHNICAL TO TINY HOUSE
Hello there! We’re Joe and Hannah. So glad you took a moment to look us up. Chances are, if you’re here, you’ve probably met us out on the road at a fuel station or restaurant somewhere, and we’re very glad to have met you. 🙂
So feel free to look around – our life has been a pretty crazy story so far, and you’ll probably enjoy hearing about it all. But whatever you do, don’t leave without hearing about the most important things about us – why we do what we do, and why we’ve started this blog.
We’re calling this an outreach journey because that’s what our life as Christians is – reaching out in love to those around us. So we’d love to hear from you if you’d like to reach out to us – so send us a message from our contact page.
But here you’ll find all sort of posts – many are podcasts of the sermons Joe preaches to our high school students while we’re on tour. A bunch will be about life and our tiny house, and a few about our thoughts and feelings and what we’re kindof ‘going through.’ So please read and listen – park a while; you might find just what you’re looking for.
We live in a tiny house. The Little Gray Sparrow, to be precise. It’s very cool. We built it ourselves right before we got married with the help of some friends and family, and then took it for a joyride of about 3,500 miles around the country on tour with our job. It was cool.
We’re still finishing the interior – trim, colors, shelves, etc. – but it’s becoming more and more like home every week, and we love it. And we can totally vacuum the entire floor with a dustbuster in like four minutes. That’s efficiency.
Click on over to The Little Gray Sparrow for more of the build and the story.
Follow us. It’s cool. You’ll like it.
A lot of our adventures will show up in posts on our Instagram feed.
(all the cool people click ‘follow’…)
And don’t forget the good ole’ Facebook.
If you’ve met us along our journey, you’ll likely be tagged in a post here.
(‘like’ it. just go for it.)
Christianity is about Christ.
Except in modern ‘American’ Christianity.
Our Christianity is about us; our music, our liberties, our failures and pain, and our dreams.
Life is influence.
At the end of the day, what will matter for every person in the world is the people they have touched.
And so often, we are influenced so easily by the voices around us – voices that may not be correct, but are the loudest.
Outfit: check. Phone: check. Backpack: check. ID: check.
I walk out the front door and get into the car for Mom to drive me to school.
We arrive, and I’m standing in front of the big glass double doors. A crowd of kids
